Crop Progress Update – 11/25/19

According to USDA, corn and soybean harvest figures remained below previous year levels through the final week of November, finishing slightly below average analyst expectations. Corn: Corn harvest progress as of the week ending Nov 24th was 84% complete, remaining behind last year’s pace of 93% and the five year average pace of 96%. Corn harvest progress finished at a ten year low seasonal pace and was slightly below average analyst expectations of 85% completed. Corn harvest progress finished most significantly behind five year average figures throughout North Dakota, followed by South Dakota and Wisconsin. Soybeans: Soybean harvest progress as of the week ending Nov 24th was 94% complete, remaining equal to last year’s pace but remaining below the five year average pace of 97%. Soybean harvest progress finished tied for the lowest seasonal pace experienced throughout the past 33 years and was slightly below average analyst expectations of 95% completed. Soybean harvest progress finished most significantly behind five year average figures throughout Wisconsin, followed by Michigan and South Carolina.
